hydrogels to the rescue?

if the hydrogels work out well for spinal cord injury repair then i wonder if they may be applicable to growing replacement organs? what they are doing now is having them help in repairing a tissue. an organ is just a collection of tissues, the next step up. well, 'just', it'll be difficult but i think it's a step in the right direction.
