Size matters?

This is a problem with adding holes to a belt. My current belt now
flops freely with several inches not secured by a belt loop. These
black jeans have the first and second belt loops too far apart, in my
opinion.

So I went on a hunt for another belt. I found one that was the previous
belt and thought it would be the solution but upon putting it on
buckling its final hole I found it too was loose now. Then I tried my
previous previous belt and found the 2nd hole was just right, leaving
nary 3 inches of free belt. Its a good thing this belt has its own loop
builtin as that will occassionally be the only loop holding the free
belt on some jeans.

DAT HUNG

I get off the clarendon metro and I notice a closed business named
'Dat-Hung jewelers' and I smile and smile. Then I decided to take
pictures of places on my walk home. Featured are:

Taste of Morocco
Sam's Corner (tasty burgers and crispy fries)
A crappy evil diner I hate
Clarendon Ballroom
Curry India House (which I'm waiting until I can afford the ~$9 buffet
to destroy)
Zip Car only parking space
Kabob Bazaar (very tasty)
Orpheus Records

Extra holes?!

Yup. I added another hole to my 40" belt today and its not tight in the
least, just much less loose than it was even after I added the first
additional hole.

I noticed something else this morning after my shower. My gut doesn't
stick out nearly as much as it used to. Nice.

So I decided to take some pics. Check out that little ass bump. Hawt.

Insecure hetero's

War, religion, and gay rights

i think the author has several good points. Sexuality is wonderful and fluid, for some reason this scares so many people, I don't understand it.

OMG!! Molten chocolate cakes!

I can't believe you can just buy these in the shopping section of any
ghetto safeway now!

Metro JO box

Just noticed this this morning. Its nice of the transit authority to
leave such large JO boxes laying around to empty my balls into.

Wierd bldg decoration?

This is on a bldg just 2 storefronts down from the starbucks I go to
every morning in rosslyn va. I just noticed today that it has
fluttering metallic patterns on its side. They seem to be hundreds of
independently moving metal pieces. Its really kind of pretty but I'm
not sure what its function is.

added a notch to the belt!

heh, an extra hole in the leather, i mean. ;)

it turns out it was easy, here's how:

1. using a sharp tipped knife, press firmly on both sides of the belt in a star pattern ( * ), do feel free to wiggle the blade to try to get it to really penetrate, especially when coming from the reverse side.

2. using a narrow tool of some kind, perhaps a very thin screwdriver, press it against the nascent hole and apply great pressure in order to push it through.

3. once the narrow tool has penetrated the hole then check the size of your belt buckle and try to choose a philips head screwdriver of similar thickness. with this tool you should press firmly from one side and twist the screwdriver to actually shred out some of the leather. when you can see the tip on the other side you should then do the same procedure on the reverse face of the leather.

this should result in a fairly nice and clean hole in your leather belt.

to hold the belt firmly while doing all this wiggling and twisting you should be sitting, place 1 foot on the long buckle end of the belt, grasp the end with the holes, and use the opposite hand to drive the tool of your current step. this will allow for maximum tension in the leather and maximum force from your tool.

it's so nice not to have to push my gut out to keep my pants from falling down!

King Garfield?

I shall tithe in lasagna, my Liege!!

Beautiful fall colors in the cityscape

I forgot to send this this morning. These are shots of the street I
walk down 1 street over from the metro and 1 block from work to get
starbucks. There was a 2 dollar bill in the tip jar as well and I
couldn't resist snapping a pic. I used to collect 2 dollar bills and
kennedy half dollars as a kid.
This 2 dollar bill was printed in 2003. I didn't know they were making
any more.

This isn't odd at all.

Because every good boy and girl goes to bed the night before hoping the
Great Turkey will leave them something the next morning.

New desktop machine

Today my new desktop machine showed up at work. I had heard rumors that
I was getting one but I'm not really sure why. The one that was cobbled
together for me was fine.

However, I am glad to have a flat panel because it frees up a lot of
desk space. The drawback is that now I'll have to be Mr. Superdude at
work to justify it. ;)

And of course a shot of #hiptop with jaka being his usual considerate
loving self.
