M & N Pizza

I am trying to fill in my brightkite map by seeking out new places and
going to them so today I decided to try a pizza shop I saw on my walk to
Hinata the other day.

M & N Pizza
7750 Old Georgetown Rd.
Bethesda, MD, 20814

I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Pasta and enjoyed it. My only complaint
was that it was rather greasy but the chicken is fried so what was I
expecting. It cost $11 and was a generous portion that was prepared as
quickly as you'd find at a restaurant, so about 15-20mins. They do have
a daily special of 2 slices and a soda among others that range from $4
to $10.

It didn't knock my socks off but it wasn't bad either. It was a tasty
meal and I'd try their pizza before finally deciding thumbs up or down.

Walking around bethesda

I decided to go to M & N Pizza for lunch and passed this little grotto
on my way. Its a nice fountain with a little path, stone benches, and
calm ponds. A very restful spot just off the busy street.

CTHULHU the movie

All I can say is, OH GOD TORI SPELLING!

Actually this movie looks great in the trailer and I'd bet it'll be interesting enough to keep us glued to our seats. Plus, bonus!, the lead character is bisexual...or something.

Aunt Carol is a role model for todays youth.

Seriously. She's kind to small animals, does good deeds for those in need, and even helps with automobile maintenance. Carol is truly a shining light in this brave new 21st century.

Hinata Sushi Carry Out

Has delicious sushi and miso soup. I decided to try them after a
recommendation from a coworker and I'll definitely be going back!

Fascinated by Monome

I have no idea what this is even after reading Ernie's blog entry about it and reading Monome.org AND even reading the Wikipedia page.

But whatever it is, I am loving it.

just for fun......

let's revisit a couple of my favorite internet videos. :D

Hilarious self hating queers and the men that fuck them

Anti-Gay Alabama A.G. Caught Being Gay

Homophobic politician sends self-published comic book to voters
This guys campaign offices telephone number is 405-590-8245. Feel free to call them and let them know how much of a douchenozzle their candidate is.

It's really just too funny that these guys can't put 2 and 2 together. (But they seem to be able to do the math with a pickle and donut.)

Sunday fun

I hung out with Brian last Sunday and we had a nice time hitting the diner, hanging at home watching Justice League, and back out hours later for dinner. What he forgot is that I scored superbonuspoints by bitching out a nun on the road.

So, this nun drives up in a car and asks us if we could help her get somewhere. She shows us the address and Brian was faster to realize it was the road right in front of her than I was, but then she asks 'Which way to this address?', and we try a bit to see the numbers across the street but there weren't any houses in that section of intersection so we couldn't say. Then she asks 'Well what do I do?' as I wandered back over to her car, so I respond 'You do what you would normally do, which is drive around until you find it.', my delivery was deadpan and earnest. She said thank you and turned right, always a good choice.

It wasn't until we started walking down the sidewalk again that I realized I probably sounded like a complete bitch to the nun and yet my answer is impeccable. Woops. :)

O M G ! I'm not normally one for drama but....

when it involves my coffeeshop I'm all about it!!

Apparently a guy went to Murky Coffee over the weekend and got his panties into a bunch about his drink, wrote all about it, and received a response.

Now do you see why I tip Murky well and send them holiday cards?!
:D

And the hilarity continues! Some people in the store at the time have been commenting on his blog and another blogger blogged it and the guys tip is up on display at the board now.

Awesome :)

Meanwhile, here's excerpts from a conversation I had with a friend tonight.

ME:
i guess it's all more interesting to me because i used to be a coffeehouse boy
we had good beans and did fresh juices we'd grind/squeeze oursevles and brewed our own chai from the herbs/whatever

HIM:
i had no idea
i used to work at costco
so i feel entitled to make fun of them from time to time

ME:
oh yeah, i worked at cafe latte, not very imaginative a name way back in undergrad in east lansing, it was a great fun shop and very big. that's where i learned all my coffee mojo and why i get pissed off easily when i have to explain how to make a simple drink to some dick barista at starbucks.
when i order a goddamn 4 shot macchiato, all i want is a fucking 4 shot macchiato. it's not rocket science and you're obviously not a fucking genius, cockcheese. it's 4 shots of espresso and some foam on top. i'm being fucking nice by not telling you the foam has to be wet or dry, just foam would be fine.
dic.
er dick.
heh

HIM:
nice
it's good to see someone else rant today

ME:
srsly, it pisses me off because they try to hand me some bullshit with caramel and who the fuck knows what in it
like i'm some fucking soccermom cow bitch that wandered in from her SUV

HIM:
hahha

Wis. Gays Warned of Big Marriage Penalty

O M G! I couldn't believe this today when I read it on Big Gay News.

Wis. Gays Warned of Big Marriage Penalty

WTF is Wisconsin thinking? You can't fine and jail people who go to another state to get married. Un-fucking-believable.

todays events

I slept in til 11am and chatted online til 12:30pm, showered, put in a load of laundry, and went to mexicali blues for brunch, then came home and moved laundry to dryer and picked up my backpack and headed to the grocery. Picked up the ingredients for fatoosh for dinner this week. The plan is to make it fresh everynight with 1 cucumber, 3 roma tomato's, a thick slice of red onion, dash of dried mint, olive oil, and lemon juice. Ideally I would chop and combine and then go for a bike ride and come back once it had macerated, we'll see how that goes. I don't have many opportunities to go biking after I get home because I work late sometimes and am just tired when I get home.

After grocery shopping I picked up the laundry and folded half of it and left for an hour long bike ride around the neighborhoods and cemetery. It was a great afternoon for a ride and I had a nice time. :)

Now I'm going to go to Astor and get a steak and cheese sub and baklava. MMMMMMM :D

Big clouds

As seen on todays bike ride through the cemetery.

Silver spring, md

Went to silver spring, md today to pick up my lost wallet from 3 weeks
ago from the metro lost and found office. This was my first time in
silver spring so I walked around a 3 block area and had lunch at Mi
Rancho. The food was basic unspired tex-mex, service was prompt but not
nice or above average.
Interesting things about silver spring are that there must have been
rampant crime there in the last 20yrs. There are bars and grates still
on some businesses windows. There seems to be a gloss of new money and
maybe of gentrification but it has a long way to go. There are apt
bldgs around the metro instead of condos, which was nice to see
actually.
