I think I'm winning.
down arm&hammer carpet pet odor powder, waited 30 mins, and vacuumed the
half of the available carpet I had covered. Also vacuumed the stairs
with the powder on them. I think that helped with the smell a lot.
The candles ( fresh linen and some mulled cider tea lights ) and febreze
sprayed in the air is helping too. I'm deploying more of the air
deoderizing weapons in my arsenal. I got some funky jar of gel and
matching bags of pearl beads from the container store, also got the
balls of charcoal, gotta find a place for them.
Lunch at Sam's Corner
Samburger is a big hamburger with cheese, 'special sauce', tomato,
onion, etc, with steak fries and a soda its just under $10. I'm
expecting it to be delicious. I'm so hungry.
This is one place I'm hoping doesn't have to close with the severe
yuppification of clarendon and rising storefront rents.
That man knows how to handle his cock!
I posted pics of this guy and his cock last year or maybe 2 yrs ago.
Then it was in front of a starbucks in falls church in the strip mall
that has the original pancake house. Today its at the virginia square
metro where I stopped to get a quad macch and maple scone.

The sum of it.
very organized about this move (just like the last one and the one
before that (that was from michigan to virginia)) and I have everything
packed and moved into my living room so the movers can just pick up most
of the items from one spot and load them up.
But, I look at the boxes and feel like saying 'Is this all I add up to?
This is it for my life?' I'm 34 years old and this is all there is to
me? Which is bizarre for me to be asking because I am practically
phobic about having stuff or permanent stuff anyway.
I just feel like there should be something that stands out and says I've
really done something important. But that's sort of silly, unless its
a huge trophy, what would there be to see? It would be sealed up in a
box.
It just comes down to being unsettled by moving, which I know well about
myself. I also know that a lot of it is also nagging dissatisfaction
with how my life has unfolded since moving to virginia. Its really been
a big letdown and downhill tumble. I've started trying (continued
constantly? Its not like I was ever resting on my heels.) To really
improve my course now that it seems like I have to stay in the network
engineering line of work.
I also am kind of feeling like a lack of success in the personal life
realm needs to be addressed. This is a lot harder to know what to do
about for me. I've been single, invisible, and celebate for the past
several years, how do you just turn from that? I've never had a
serious relationship of any length and I can't fathom why some people
stay together, and yet they seem to have happy relationships for years.
So, I'm trying to make some changes. I have a vision of how I'd like to
live and the work I'd like to do. I'm going to try to keep making a
living in DC without using a car and being a responsible person who
tries to balance wants with a larger world view. Meanwhile, a friend
had approached me about working on bioinformatic open source projects in
our free time to try to keep ourselves involved in the community, I
think that sounds like a good idea. That may be enough to keep me happy
as I work a primary job that may not always be fulfilling. I also want
to try to develop, slowly and deliberately, a rewarding personal life.
So we'll see. First I have to move, then the rest.

Professors in Colorado Receive Death Threats for Teaching Evolution
*excerpt*
On Friday an e-mail sent to CU-Boulder’s evolutionary biology department bore the subject line "a final CU Boulder EBIO appeal” and repeated the line "every true Christian should be ready and willing to take up arms to kill the enemies of Christian society."

Funny to think...
I think the kitchen is completely packed now except for 3 knives and a
plate.

Air freshening products
smells a bit like a chamber pot on the first floor and my 3rd floor
attic / loft ( I've been toying with the idea of calling it an
efficiency loft apartment ) smells vaguely baby'ish and lived in.
Deoderizing carpet powder and 3 long vacuumings will be the first order
of business after the movers leave. Then the air freshening products on
a trip to the container store.
Left behind
it is, one of those rubber cockrings with a slogan embedded on it that
simpering fools insist on wearing on their wrists instead of around
their cocks. This one says 'They all come home'. I assume this is some
'pro-military' bullshit to lull them into denial over the ramifications
of Bush's decisions. I.e. Military people are dying everyday needlessly
and will continue to.
What do they think they're accomplishing by wearing this on their
wrists? Don't they realize they could effect more change by using a
cockring the way it should be used and banging out an ass?
I bet it belonged to one of the xian breeders that were here earlier.

Check out my new tools!
may have taken my wrench and definitely abused my screwdrivers. (This
would be a different kind of abuse than washing his dildos in the
dishwasher with my plates. Fucking. Nasty. Faggoty. Cheap. Ass. Cunt.
Fuckhole. )
So, I walked down to safeway and got a quad macch from the in-store
starbucks and went to cherrydale hardware store and picked up new alan
wrenches and a hand wrench with a new tightening system. You slide
the...slider...up and down to open and close the jaws. Apparently there
is some of catch in the assembly to maintain the position of the jaws
when pressure is applied in the turning motion.
I'm actually excited about this.
<stereotype> I feel like a bulldyke! </stereotype>
