Campaign gold for Democrats

Senator Sucksalot going down

The Dems could turn this into a very strong point against the Republicans if they just spun it as this is what you get when you base your party and personal views on regressive and self centered values. An old bitter man that can't accept that he wants to suck some dick and so has to try to do it in bathrooms away from his wife and family. The should bash the Republicans for the backward, regressive, oppressive fucks they are.

First underbed storage box

Procured tonight after work and filled right before bed. It has various
covers and things to keep me warm in the winter. I can fit 2 more units
under the bed easily, one for sheets and blankets and 1 for comforter I
guess. There's still additional space under the bed if I need it.

I'm liking the new arrangement of the head of the bed being away from
the window. A lot less road noise to keep me awake.

The area at the foot of the bed is ripe for exploitation. There's an
electrical outlet perfect for my cellphone charger and a table or
drawers or something along those lines would go down there well.

Perfect Creature

Rented Perfect Creature via Amazon Unbox on Sunday.

This was a pretty good movie. It had high production quality and seemed well edited. I would have liked to have had more (any) history on the villain and why he was taking his actions and also more history of the Brotherhood itself. For proposing an alternate reality that is fairly unique (humans and vampires co-existing peacefully) it didn't explore how that balance came to be and explain the purpose of the Brotherhood or how they usurped control from the Catholics (if Catholics existed in that reality).

It was fun to watch and I was engaged but I would have liked to have known more about the world it was set in.

The Fountain

Rented The Fountain this week via Amazon Unbox.

I had wanted to see this movie when it was originally out and never got around to it. It turns out it's completely pointless. There are alot of trippy imagery and no science fiction to lock onto. The 3 versions of the main character aren't the same physical character and there's no indication that he is some continuing spirit possessing his descendants bodies, so, what's the point of these 3 versions? There is the figure of a tree that the story could have been built around and could have proven pivotal to what was going on but it's never explored or indicated as having any meaning.

The movie was completely pointless and a waste of time.

Ghost Rider

Rented on Amazon Unbox last week.

Ghost Rider was an OK watch but not as interesting as it could have been. They should have explored the contract for his soul with Mephistophiles more and not have let the character be played in such a hokey manner. It would have also have been nice to have explored Blackhearts history...at all!

All in all it was a waste of time with no redeeming qualities.

U gotta hawt box

So, I bought a box of yummies for my sweety tonight and was bored at my
desk so I figured I'd look and sniff at them. When I opened the bag I
discovered a piece of tape across the lid seam. Those clever ladies at
the chocolate shoppe knew what a fat fucker might get up to!

Touche, ladies. Touche.

It may not seem like much

But, I tossed out my single mattress that was on the floor that I've
slept on for the last 10 yrs. I lugged it down 2 flights of staitrs at
11pm tonight and didn't even make much noise. Once I find a space for
the things at the foot of the bed then I'l have that space to use for
something else. Plus, I can vacuum that floor now.

Closet progress

I had considered getting 2 underbed storage boxes to put clothes etc in,
but I looked at my closet and realized I wasn't using the space to its
fullest. I had 1 drawer from a couple weeks ago that I didn't need for
my kitchenette area so I put that in the closet and bought 2 additional
drawers. I put stuff in them and broke down 2 moving boxes. There is
space left in the drawers for more which will be todays load of laundry.

Lunch at crisp & juicy

After a nice bike ride I was close to crisp & juicy so I decided to stop
for lunch at 3pm since I hadn't eaten all day. I had the latino chicken
breast sandwich with a side of medium yuka and a coke.
It was delicious as always.

My 3 friends for the evening

Delicious all three!

Farmhouse Ale:
The Smuttynose BIG BEER series
Our Farmhouse Ale is an homage to traditional European beers brewed for
quenching the thirst of farm workers, or 'Saisonaires'.
A unique Belgian Saison yeast is used to impart a mixture of spicy,
fruity, & earthy notes along with lip-smacking palatability.

JAMES SAYS:
HERE HERE!! It was delicious! Much lip smacking and very full mouthed
satisfaction!

Wychwood Hobgoblin:
Imported dark english ale
Full bodied & well balanced with a chocolate toffee malt flavour,
moderate bitterness & a distinctive fruity character with a ruby red
glow.

JAMES SAYS:
I'd swallow this hobgoblin anytime! Very pleasant and fruity with
bitter overtones, a delight to sip or guzzle.

St. Peter's Cream Stout:
'Fuggles' and 'Challenger' hops combine with a blend of four different
barley malts to create an aromatic, strong, dark chocolate cream stout
with a satisfying bittersweet aftertaste.

JAMES SAYS:
St. Peters Cream is delicious!! Very creamy and full mouthfeel with a
pleasant malt main note and hoppy bitter aftertaste. Really
incredible.

All in all, by chance, I drank these beers in the right order for me.
The Farmhouse was full, fruity, and sweet. The Hobgoblin was sweet and
vaguely hoppy. The Cream is full, heavy, malty, and rather pleasantly
bitter on the palette. A very happy man am I to have St. Peter crouched
on my tongue for minutes after a sip.

I has pictures

I put pictures up on the walls. I have 2 small pictures of morning
glories I need to find a spot for.

Lighting situation

I played around with the lighting in my room to try to get it to be a
bit less harsh. Angling the track lights up and out toward the ceiling
in the back by the bathroom, and the living room ones paired up toward
the apex seems to have helped that set. Moved my halogen lamp to where
some boxes used to be, that provides an enormous amount of light for my
kitchenette and living room area. My paper cover ikea lamp is nice with
40watt bulbs for dim night time lighting. All in all a small but
meaningful accomplishment. :)
