Economy woes

It's astounding to me that people don't understand what has caused the problem we find ourselves in now. Listening to the men that control the economic foundation of the United States is sickening. They talk about enabling more debt in everything they say. That is the opposite of what is needed to get through this quickly.

The Potential End Of America's Government
This guy comes off as a bit of a dramatic loony, but I think his un-bolded and un-capitalized take on the economy is more correct than what we hear in the hearings going on now.

First Bankruptcy, Then Jail? FBI Targets Lehman, AIG, et al

This investigation can't come soon enough or go too deep. All of those men and women should go to prison.

Tmobile G1 looking gooood

AND I read somewhere that Tmobile will price unlimited data and sms for the G1 at $35/mo. Suck on that, AT&T.
It also says there'll be a monthly cap of 1GB for data, but seriously, what cellphone could eat 1GB of data in a month? My sidekick only eats 60MB when i'm using the web browser for hours everyday and lots of email, granted it's compressed by Danger and then sent over Tmobile but still, I really don't think a 1GB cap for a mobile will hurt anyone.

I'm afraid I don't know why.

Union Station

Wanted to try out the new Ipod Touch on the Metro for watching video
during the weekly commute, so decided to come tour Union Station since
I'd never been here.

I was shocked. There is a metric fuck-ton of food and shopping in Union
Station. I haven't been around that many people and shops in a long
time, probably 4yrs. There were a lot of tourists in busses and walking
around too. I wonder how many of the tourists viewing the large
numbers of homeless people all over DC will be homeless themselves
because of the mortgage fallout?

Commentary: How to prevent the next Wall Street crisis

This is a very good article.

I don't understand why these Chief Executives and Boards of Directors aren't going to prison. Instead of being punished for failing utterly I don't think it's too much of a stretch to expect they'll be rewarded with millions in golden parachutes.

Craig Ferguson, "If you don't vote, you're a moron"

He has alot of good things to say but I think he forgets to say that we should also impeach underperforming presidents. We should cultivate a culture of impeachment and threaten these lazy bastards with consequences for their poorly planned and executed policies. I don't think we should let the next person 'in line' assume the presidency either, we should have a new round of elections after we impeach the jackass that was fucking up. Eventually maybe these greedy irresponsible monkeys would get some reality scared into them.

Odd place for a sign

So I went to Cherrydale to get my haircut today and stopped at the
Safeway across the street for money. As I was walking out I saw a '$5
meatloaf' flyer hung on a security camera in front of the exit. Now,
this camera is kind of high in the air, over the heads of shoppers
anyway. What makes it stranger is that there weren't flyers on the
doors as I walked in.

I LOVE cute with chris! I've been watching for the last few months.....actually I downloaded all his shows as vodcasts and watched them all. Chris is always hilarious and I love the adult humor and cute kittens. :D

Power Thirst?

I'm going to have to figure out what Power Thirst is now and why it's being made such intense fun of. My current guess is that isn't real and these are instead great takes on the bizarre energy drink craze and the whole Axe body spray thing. They seem like weird ways to feed young guys fantasies of being hypermasculine.

These aren't SFW btw.

Send a text

I saw this on the Metro this morning. The blurry pic is of an ad for an
apartment bldg somewhere and it has an sms short code to get more
information. I thought it was neat to see a common display that uses
sms shortcodes instead of just scifi channel or american idol. I even
saw yesterday that digitalblasphemy.com has an sms shortcode so people
can get his backgrounds on their phones, only with certain carriers and
phones of course.

I wonder how affordable an sms shortcode is?
