yet another job update.

so i emailed the software consulting company that i had talked to in february and we'd decided to talk again in april since my availability date is may10. meanwhile i still haven't heard anything back from the 2 jobs i interviewed with nearly a month ago. i had written to one of them 2 weeks after the interview and got a response that they were still interviewing people and would get back to me when they were done. i was tempted to email again but if they're going to email when they are done then clearly they aren't done. which is very annoying, it doesn't take a month to find someone for the job you've advertised. seriously, it doesn't.

what i'm afraid may happen is that the consulting company may move quickly thru the interview and hiring process while the job i actually want, the proteomics one with SAIC, may keep dragging thier feet. but, i guess if you snooze you lose. except that the job at SAIC would actually be meaningful whereas the consulting job would just be designing solutions for companies, like billing systems or whatever. so, help detect cancer earlier vs. a billing system. which sounds more important and helpful?

ugh.
