I've had a wonderful time the last 2 days
I got back feeling energized and relaxed and had a quick shower before I made dinner.
It's interesting to me that I ride my bike differently when I don't wear my glasses. It was alot more fun and I think it was because I couldn't see anything else so could only connect with my body, the vibration, my bike, and about 5 feet around me.
Sunday was a great day because I relaxed and had coffee at home with Kathy Griffin, then headed out to do the grocery shopping and put laundry in before I left. When I got back the laundry was moved to the dryer and I put the groceries away and rested for half an hour. Then it was back out to find a late lunch or early dinner and the place I wanted to go was closed and the other alternative only took cash, I don't carry cash, so I ended up riding around for awhile and wound up at Tandoori Nights. I had a great dinner there and wandered around in Barnes & Noble afterwards and then walked over to Boccato for gelato. I had Gran Limone with Strawberry Margarita, delicious!
Later I came home and ended up having a dinner of blueberries, pecans, and a slice of sweet potato pie. :)

Tandoori Nights
Kathy Griffin. Later I went to the grocery store and did laundry and
decided to get a late lunch / early dinner. I decided to try a new
place:
Tandoori Nights
2800 Clarendon Blvd
Arlington, VA
It's an indian restaurant and I ordered the vegetable pakora and palak
paneer, pretty basic dishes. The pakora was a little too fried but not
unpalatable, just darker and harder/crispier inside than I'm used to
with pakora. I ate them all so clearly they were fine. The palak
paneer was very nice and tasted / looked fresh. The paneer was a good
texture and there was a right amount, not too little or much.
It was great to have a mild day to try this place and sit outside, the
view is wonderful of the sky and down into the shopping center. That
would sound terrible to me except the shopping center has a canopy of
trees and 2 fountains so it's as peaceful as a yuppy hell can get.
I would come back to Tandoori Nights to try a korma or jalfrezi.

M & N Pizza
going to them so today I decided to try a pizza shop I saw on my walk to
Hinata the other day.
M & N Pizza
7750 Old Georgetown Rd.
Bethesda, MD, 20814
I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Pasta and enjoyed it. My only complaint
was that it was rather greasy but the chicken is fried so what was I
expecting. It cost $11 and was a generous portion that was prepared as
quickly as you'd find at a restaurant, so about 15-20mins. They do have
a daily special of 2 slices and a soda among others that range from $4
to $10.
It didn't knock my socks off but it wasn't bad either. It was a tasty
meal and I'd try their pizza before finally deciding thumbs up or down.
Walking around bethesda
on my way. Its a nice fountain with a little path, stone benches, and
calm ponds. A very restful spot just off the busy street.

CTHULHU the movie
Actually this movie looks great in the trailer and I'd bet it'll be interesting enough to keep us glued to our seats. Plus, bonus!, the lead character is bisexual...or something.

Has delicious sushi and miso soup. I decided to try them after a
recommendation from a coworker and I'll definitely be going back!

Homophobic politician sends self-published comic book to voters
This guys campaign offices telephone number is 405-590-8245. Feel free to call them and let them know how much of a douchenozzle their candidate is.
It's really just too funny that these guys can't put 2 and 2 together. (But they seem to be able to do the math with a pickle and donut.)
Sunday fun
So, this nun drives up in a car and asks us if we could help her get somewhere. She shows us the address and Brian was faster to realize it was the road right in front of her than I was, but then she asks 'Which way to this address?', and we try a bit to see the numbers across the street but there weren't any houses in that section of intersection so we couldn't say. Then she asks 'Well what do I do?' as I wandered back over to her car, so I respond 'You do what you would normally do, which is drive around until you find it.', my delivery was deadpan and earnest. She said thank you and turned right, always a good choice.
It wasn't until we started walking down the sidewalk again that I realized I probably sounded like a complete bitch to the nun and yet my answer is impeccable. Woops. :)

O M G ! I'm not normally one for drama but....
Apparently a guy went to Murky Coffee over the weekend and got his panties into a bunch about his drink, wrote all about it, and received a response.
Now do you see why I tip Murky well and send them holiday cards?!
:D
And the hilarity continues! Some people in the store at the time have been commenting on his blog and another blogger blogged it and the guys tip is up on display at the board now.
Awesome :)
Meanwhile, here's excerpts from a conversation I had with a friend tonight.
ME:
i guess it's all more interesting to me because i used to be a coffeehouse boy
we had good beans and did fresh juices we'd grind/squeeze oursevles and brewed our own chai from the herbs/whatever
HIM:
i had no idea
i used to work at costco
so i feel entitled to make fun of them from time to time
ME:
oh yeah, i worked at cafe latte, not very imaginative a name way back in undergrad in east lansing, it was a great fun shop and very big. that's where i learned all my coffee mojo and why i get pissed off easily when i have to explain how to make a simple drink to some dick barista at starbucks.
when i order a goddamn 4 shot macchiato, all i want is a fucking 4 shot macchiato. it's not rocket science and you're obviously not a fucking genius, cockcheese. it's 4 shots of espresso and some foam on top. i'm being fucking nice by not telling you the foam has to be wet or dry, just foam would be fine.
dic.
er dick.
heh
HIM:
nice
it's good to see someone else rant today
ME:
srsly, it pisses me off because they try to hand me some bullshit with caramel and who the fuck knows what in it
like i'm some fucking soccermom cow bitch that wandered in from her SUV
HIM:
hahha

Wis. Gays Warned of Big Marriage Penalty
WTF is Wisconsin thinking? You can't fine and jail people who go to another state to get married. Un-fucking-believable.

todays events
After grocery shopping I picked up the laundry and folded half of it and left for an hour long bike ride around the neighborhoods and cemetery. It was a great afternoon for a ride and I had a nice time. :)
Now I'm going to go to Astor and get a steak and cheese sub and baklava. MMMMMMM :D
