So, would the criminal be charged with 2 counts of assault with a deadly
weapon? The knife itself and one of the victims HIV? It may make sense
to make the criminal responsible for any disease (potential or realize)
that his crime spreads. Someone could just as easily have hepatitis,
syphilis, etc and if the criminals actions are sufficient to spread it
to another person, whether it does or not, he should be penalized for
it.
