Those damn alien mummies! All they want is the shocker.
Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. Unreasonable people attempt to adapt the world to themselves. All progress, therefore, depends on unreasonable people. - George Bernard Shaw

Today is my first day at my new job. Pictured is me, my hellacious
desktop, work area, and my badge.

Jesus christ. Look at that knob. Who'd hire him??
Broke out the tie and had to relearn fast this morning how to tie it. I
think I did an ok job. 9am and 3pm here I come!
Stupid asshats.

You probably can't see it very well but the underside of the cloudy
cover is bumpy and fluffy looking. I like that.

This guy is way too comfortable. I'm at the Borders in clarendon
stripmall and this guy is laying on the floor with sweatpants and one of
those headbands that keeps your glasses on. He is, predictably, in the
role playing and sci-fi/fantasy area.

I'm at whitlows on wilson today for brunch. I ordered the western
omelette with sausage, home fries, english muffing, and 2 pancakes.
Jay, my waiter, did a good job of keeping my coffeecup filled and was
pleasant. I am now quite full.

This is the canopy that is being built over the clarendon metro stop in
arlington, va. Its been iin construction now for 2 months or so. It
looks as though all the supports are up and they've started to put in
the glass. The metro stop is still useable as the escalators are
unobstructed. The canopy is nice because you won't get rained on while
you're on the escalator.

I'm walking down to clarendon from my house and took a sidestreet I
don't normally take. As I was walking down this street enjoying the
look of the houses a kitty appeared and let me take a picture of it.

Now that's a calzone!! Fresh, hot, delicious, and HUGE spinach calzone.

Its the beeper for seating from whitlows on wilson in clarendon
arlington virginia. I'm here for brunch and they got new ones since
week. This one looks like a medical scanner from star trek or babylon5,
except for the color, of course.

Just twigs and leaves everywhere from the winds and constant rains over
the last 3 days. No big deal.
We lost cable friday night from 630pm to just about 8pm and then it
blinked in/out 3 times that night til midnight.
People in dc and alexandria reported actual power outtages. They were
down less than a day.
